Support Workers

Alpha Carers Australia (ACA), is a unique Perth based Specialist Care Services Provider. Founded, owned, and operated by experienced WA Nurses, to meet the growing demand for professional Nursing and Support Services throughout our diverse community. ACA understands the needs of both our clients and nursing staff and pride ourselves on doing business with a personal touch.

ACA has developed and implemented a model for specialised in-home care for People with support needs requiring Complex nursing procedures by qualified Nurses only. ACA’s team of experienced and trained Nurses and support workers works with our clients and their family to ensure highest standards of care is delivered in the comfort of your own home or in one of our supported accommodation homes.

Our employees are vetted, well trained, highly professional individuals who are subject to stringent screening processes and training regimes to ensure the delivery of exceptionally high standards of care.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Cert 3 or 4 in Individual Support/Disability/Aged Care
  • PEG feeding competency
  • Quadraplegia work experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to problem solve and take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well-developed assessment and report writing skills
  • Evidence of up to date Influenza Vaccination
  • Current National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one (obtained within the last 12 months)
  • Residential Aged Care and or Disability care experience is desirable, but not mandatory
  • Current First Aid and Manual Handling

The tasks and responsibilities involve:

  • ADLs
  • PEG feed / Dysphagia management
  • Night shifts (active/sleep)
  • Community access – Driving experience an advantage
  • Compassion and genuine interest in working with clients with disability support need.
  • Engaging in rehab therapy with clients
